Schiphol has opened its largest Privium Lounge, offering premium travellers more space, upgraded facilities and a redesigned food and beverage experience.

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) has opened its largest Privium Lounge, expanding its premium passenger offering with a new 800m² facility designed to provide greater comfort, productivity and flexibility for travellers departing within the Schengen area.
Located close to the B, C and future A gates, the new Privium ClubLounge South accommodates up to 125 guests and becomes the fourth Privium lounge across the airport. Developed exclusively for Privium Plus members, the facility has also been designed to welcome passengers purchasing a lounge voucher.
The new lounge has been created around changing passenger expectations, offering dedicated areas for work, relaxation and meetings alongside premium hospitality services. Facilities include quiet workstations, meeting rooms, shower facilities and an extensive food and beverage offering designed to support passengers throughout the day.
Passenger journey enhanced with premium facilities
Designed by interior architects D/DOCK, the lounge incorporates natural materials, greenery and separate zones for working and relaxing, creating a quieter environment within one of the airport’s busiest departure areas.
Later this year, Schiphol will further enhance the passenger experience by introducing a dedicated security lane providing direct access from the departure hall into the lounge. The additional facility is intended to make the journey from security screening to the departure gate faster and more seamless for Privium members.
The airport has also introduced a new food and beverage concept offering freshly prepared meals throughout the day, including breakfast options, barista-made coffee, sandwiches, salads and hot dishes. Schiphol said the use of individually portioned products has been increased to better match passenger demand while helping reduce food waste.
Franc Vink, Head of Schiphol Premium Services, said: “The time our members spend at Schiphol is becoming increasingly valuable. That is why, when developing ClubLounge South, we focused not only on creating more space, but above all on how we could make that time as comfortable and productive as possible.”
He added that the opening is particularly significant as Privium celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.
The launch of ClubLounge South forms part of Schiphol’s wider strategy to improve premium passenger services by providing greater choice, higher-quality facilities and more personalised experiences throughout the airport journey.
