Travellers passing through Concourse D were treated to performances by Brazilian & Latin Sounds Co., featuring samba dancers, Batucada drummers and Capoeira acrobats. The entertainment brought a carnival atmosphere to the terminal as Miami prepared to host matches during the tournament.

Daniella Levine Cava attended the first performance and highlighted the airport’s efforts to create a memorable experience for visitors arriving in South Florida.

She said: “Today’s celebration is just one of the many ways we’re giving World Cup travelers an engaging and memorable experience at MIA.”

The airport has also established dedicated fan zones and football themed exhibitions to enhance the passenger experience throughout the competition.

As one of the main gateways to the Americas, Miami International Airport is expected to welcome millions of passengers during the World Cup, including visitors travelling to matches in Miami and connecting onward to other host cities across North America.
