Hong Kong International Airport managed all scheduled flights despite the typhoon. The new Coach Hall also launched, improving links to the Greater Bay Area.

On 23 September 2025, Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) successfully processed all approximately 600 scheduled flights despite ongoing disruptions from Super Typhoon Ragasa. All passengers within the terminal’s restricted areas have now departed by air or otherwise left the airport.

Adverse weather conditions are anticipated to continue impacting flight operations, with only a limited number of cargo flights expected on 24 September. The Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) has activated its Flight Rescheduling Control System, enabling airlines to plan for the resumption of services once weather permits. From the Airport Emergency Centre, AAHK is collaborating closely with airport community partners, including the Civil Aviation Department and airlines, to ensure effective communication and readiness. Precautionary measures such as securing airbridges and enhancing drainage at airport roads and work sites have been implemented.

In a separate development, the new Coach Hall commenced operations on 23 September as part of the first phase of the expanded Terminal 2 (T2). This facility offers one-stop cross-boundary coach services, representing a significant milestone in connecting HKIA with the Greater Bay Area. Seamlessly integrated with Terminal 1 (T1), the Coach Hall provides 41 parking bays for various transport services and consolidates ticketing counters previously located across T1 and several car parks. It offers an integrated multimodal transport hub and a more comfortable indoor waiting environment.
