T5 In the Making lets visitors explore Changi Airport’s future terminal through interactive displays, scale models and experiences highlighting design, technology and sustainability.

T5 In the Making - Launch ceremony 2

Singapore has unveiled an immersive public exhibition offering a detailed look at the future of Changi Airport (SIN), as plans progress for its highly anticipated Terminal 5.

Acting Minister for Transport and Senior Minister of State for Finance Jeffrey Siow officially launched T5 In the Making on Monday at Changi Airport Terminal 3. The free exhibition invites visitors to explore the vision, design and innovations behind Terminal 5, which is set to play a central role in Singapore’s long term aviation growth.

Jointly organised by the Ministry of Transport, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and Changi Airport Group, the exhibition runs from 6 January to March 2026 at the Terminal 3 Arrival Hall. Since public registration opened on 15 December, around 15,000 visitors have already signed up for tickets.

Speaking at the launch, officials highlighted Terminal 5 as a critical development that will allow Changi Airport to meet rising air travel demand in Asia while addressing challenges such as manpower constraints, an ageing population and climate change. The launch event was also attended by Senior Minister of State Ms Sun Xueling and members of the wider airport community.

The exhibition is structured around five themed zones that trace Changi Airport’s evolution and future ambitions. Visitors begin with a personalised check in experience, receiving a commemorative boarding pass that doubles as a stamp rally card.

The first zone, Another Bold Singapore Chapter, explores the strategic decision to move Singapore’s main civilian airport from Paya Lebar to Changi and explains why Terminal 5 is needed for the next phase of growth. This is followed by Built on Firm Foundations, which charts decades of land reclamation and the development of Terminals 1 to 4 and Jewel Changi Airport.

From Vision to Reality offers an immersive showcase of Terminal 5’s scale and design philosophy, presenting the terminal as both expansive and human centred. In the Cool Tech Warm Touch zone, visitors encounter emerging technologies such as robotics and smart systems being considered to improve operational efficiency and passenger experience. The final zone, Come Imagine with T5, features an artificial intelligence powered interactive mural and detailed scale models of Terminal 5 and the wider Changi East development.

The exhibition is open daily from 10.00am to 8.00pm, with last entry at 7.15pm, and a recommended visit duration of around 60 minutes. Admission is free, with advance registration available online on a first come, first served basis.

Ticket holders can also access exclusive dining and shopping promotions across Changi Airport terminals, as well as special offers from iShopChangi, Changi Experience Studio and Changi Travel Services.
