Annecy Haute-Savoie Mont-Blanc Airport has officially opened its new terminal following an 18 month redevelopment programme focused on sustainability and passenger experience.

VINCI Airports and the Haute-Savoie Council have officially inaugurated the new terminal at Annecy Haute-Savoie Mont-Blanc Airport (NCY) following completion of a major redevelopment project.
The €2.5 million project forms part of a wider €10 million investment programme launched after VINCI Airports assumed management of the airport concession in 2022.

Construction works lasted 18 months between July 2024 and January 2026 and focused on improving passenger facilities while reducing the environmental impact of airport operations.
According to VINCI Airports, the new terminal has been designed to provide higher quality passenger services alongside improved energy performance.
The redevelopment includes upgraded passenger facilities with three lounges replacing the previous single lounge configuration, as well as a dedicated crew area and improved workspaces for airport employees.
Accessibility improvements were also introduced through the development of a new forecourt designed to improve access for passengers with reduced mobility.
Environmental upgrades formed a major part of the project, including reinforced thermal insulation, the removal of gas systems and installation of monitoring technology for water and electricity consumption.
VINCI Airports stated that the changes are expected to reduce carbon emissions by around 30 tonnes of CO2 equivalent annually.
The new terminal project also forms part of a broader airport modernisation programme underway at Annecy Haute-Savoie Mont-Blanc Airport.
Since 2022, infrastructure upgrades have included restoration works on runways, taxiways and aircraft stands alongside installation of a new fuel station capable of distributing Sustainable Aviation Fuel and supporting electric aircraft charging.
Rémi Maumon de Longevialle said the project reflects a long term commitment to improving passenger services while supporting sustainable airport operations and regional development.
The investment programme is intended to support the future growth of the airport while aligning infrastructure with environmental and operational priorities across the aviation sector.
