Next generation of baggage processes: automation of baggage handling and progress with airports’ implementation of resolution 753

A significant shift is underway in airports to automate baggage handling and reduce the amount of mishandled baggage. This session will cover the experiences of airports in implementing projects aimed at reducing baggage handling time and increasing the capacity of the automated sortation process. With resolution 753 now in place for nearly a year it will cover progress on implementation and how much it has contributed to improving data sharing within the industry. It will also cover trials of different baggage check-in strategies from passengers’ homes.
