Picture of the week: Changi Airport and Jewel celebrate festive season with Disney Cruise magic

This week’s Picture of the Week captures the enchanting 16-metre Disney Cruise Line-themed Christmas tree at Jewel Changi Airport, surrounded by Captain Mickey and Minnie topiaries and sparkling fairy lights, welcoming visitors to a magical year-end celebration.

Changi Airport and Jewel Changi Airport invite visitors to a wonder-filled festive season celebrating Disney’s beloved stories and characters. The highlight is Jewel’s Rain Vortex Light & Music Showcase, ‘The Magic of Adventure,’ a 3.5-minute spectacle taking guests through the seven themed areas of the Disney Adventure, featuring Disney, Pixar and Marvel characters.
Terminal 3 (T3) is home to a 6.5-metre ship installation inspired by the Disney Adventure, complete with themed photo zones, including Disney Imagination Garden, Town Square, Marvel Landing, and Captain Mickey’s cabin. Meet-and-greet sessions with Disney Cruise Line characters are offered on a first-come, first-served basis at no extra cost. T3 also hosts daily snow shows that transform the hall into a winter wonderland.
Visitors can explore Disney Discovery Reef at T3 Basement 2, a multi-sensory underwater world with Ariel, Ursula and Dory, or enjoy Stitch’s Ohana Grill, a Hawaiian-themed pop-up offering DIY activities to decorate travel journals, tote bags or mugs. Shoppers spending S$50 or S$60 at participating outlets can redeem items, with additional perks for Mastercard users.

A festive carnival, ‘Unleash the Holidays,’ runs in T3 Departure Hall with Disney-themed game booths and a stamp rally across all terminals. Collecting seven Disney Cruise Line stamps reveals a layered postcard image, redeemable for ten carnival tokens.
Visitors at Jewel can capture memorable moments at Canopy Park and Forest Valley, featuring the stunning 16-metre Christmas tree, topiaries of Captain Mickey and Minnie, and Toy Story-themed installations including Woody, Jessie, Buzz and Bullseye. Nightly snowfall sessions add a seasonal touch.
Changi-exclusive Disney Cruise Line collectibles are available for purchase until 4 January 2026, from travel blankets and cushions to puffy carry-on bags and mini luggage. Shoppers may also enter a lucky draw for a three-night Disney Adventure cruise by spending the minimum at participating outlets.
This festive display combines immersive storytelling, interactive experiences, and shopping, creating a unique holiday celebration at one of the world’s most awarded airports.
