According to the report, Malaysia Aviation Group continues to advance its long term sustainability strategy through investment in next generation aircraft and operational improvements aimed at reducing environmental impact.

The fleet modernisation programme included the addition of Airbus A330neo and Boeing 737-8 aircraft designed to improve fuel performance, reduce emissions intensity and enhance passenger experience.

The organisation also reported improvements in aircraft noise performance, with the proportion of aircraft compliant with International Civil Aviation Organisation Chapter 14 noise standards increasing from 8.6 per cent in 2023 to 15.6 per cent in 2025.

As part of its decarbonisation strategy, the group completed its first pilot Sustainable Aviation Fuel uplift on the Kuala Lumpur to London route through a partnership with PETRONAS.

Malaysia Aviation Group also introduced two per cent Sustainable Aviation Fuel usage for flights departing from the United Kingdom and Europe in line with evolving regulatory requirements.

Philip See said sustainability remains a central element of the organisation’s long term business strategy and supports efforts to create a more resilient and future ready aviation group.

Beyond environmental programmes, the report highlighted workforce diversity and talent development initiatives across technical and operational areas.

Of the more than 1,000 employees hired during 2025, 51 per cent were women and 67 per cent were classified as young talent.

The organisation also expanded outreach programmes encouraging female participation in aviation and engineering careers, reaching nearly 500 students nationwide.

Additional sustainability initiatives included collaborations supporting Sustainable Aviation Fuel development, operational innovation, digitalisation and employee focused sustainability programmes.

Malaysia Aviation Group stated that the measures are intended to support responsible long term growth while strengthening environmental performance and operational resilience across the organisation.
