Dublin Airport (DUB) has opened applications for its 2026 Community Fund programme, making €500,000 available to support projects in communities located near the airport.
The initiative, managed by airport operator daa, supports locally led projects focused on wellbeing, sustainability, sport, education and social inclusion.

According to Dublin Airport, the fund has supported more than 230 community projects over the past two years, helping local organisations deliver initiatives ranging from environmental improvements to educational and sporting programmes.
Previous projects supported by the fund include outdoor learning and wellbeing spaces at local schools, community sporting events and biodiversity initiatives across nearby residential areas.
Funding has also contributed towards heritage and community projects, including improvements to community halls and local public spaces.
Applications for the latest funding round will remain open until 5 June and must be submitted through a new online application portal introduced by the airport.
The airport stated that the digital system is intended to make the application process more accessible and transparent for local groups.
Both new applicants and previous grant recipients are eligible to apply.
Janine Davidson, Community Engagement Manager at Dublin Airport, said the programme aims to support projects that create lasting local benefits.
“The Dublin Airport Community Fund is about backing the great work happening every day in the communities around the airport,” she said.
In addition to the community funding programme, Dublin Airport continues to support education initiatives through its long standing partnership with Dublin City University and the university’s Access Programme, which supports 40 students annually.
According to daa, more than €25 million has been invested in local communities in recent years through community funding, infrastructure support and environmental mitigation measures.
This includes one of Europe’s largest airport noise mitigation and home support programmes alongside funding for local voluntary organisations.
The initiative reflects growing emphasis across the airport sector on community engagement, sustainability and strengthening relationships between airports and surrounding residential areas.
