Case study: Lessons learnt in the introduction of Centralized Image Processing (CIP) of X-ray images

Date: 26 September 2019
Time: 12:15

This session will provide a case study of an airport which has implemented this technology which is aimed at improving the cabin baggage security screening process. CIP allows X-ray machines to be networked, while X-ray operators analyse images in a centralized location away from the lane and away from the distractions on the busy checkpoint area, this will demonstrate how that improves staff’s working conditions, productivity and security effectiveness. This session will also cover how CIP allows for an increased efficiency and flexibility in resourcing.
