Dubai International Airport (DXB) is bringing the holiday season to life with Magical Connections, a festive experience featuring spectacular installations, family-friendly activities, surprise collectibles, and digital games to delight travellers. Running from 14 December to 10 January, the event aims to make every journey memorable.

Concourse B hosts the Family Zone, the heart of DXB’s winter celebrations. “The Family Zone is the most photogenic spot in the terminal this winter, and the perfect place to get into the holiday spirit before take-off,” the airport said. It features glowing installations, decorated Christmas trees, festive huts for complimentary gift wrapping, and cosy seating, turning layovers into joyful mini-breaks.

DXB’s AR Bauble Hunt is a digital treasure trail throughout Terminal 3. Guests can use their phones to find hidden baubles, revealing festive messages or unlocking offers from partners including Costa, Pret A Manger, Hard Rock Cafe, Wolfgang Puck’s The Kitchen, and the DXB Hotel. Rare Golden Baubles contain premium surprises, adding an element of excitement.

The airport’s digital experience hub includes three mini-games for travellers with time to spare: Spin the Wheel, Slide & Solve, and Cosy Words. QR codes throughout the terminals or the DXB Wi-Fi landing page provide easy access, giving guests another chance to collect baubles and rewards.

Families and creatives can join the Bauble-Making Workshop in Terminal 3 to craft personalised ornaments, from glitter baubles to snowmen. Meanwhile, elves and winter characters roam concourses, spreading cheer and posing for photos.

DXB also offers two winter huts for complimentary gift wrapping on select days, with DIY stations and activities during peak periods. “These festive experiences are designed to bring joy to every passenger, creating memorable moments and holiday spirit throughout the terminals,” the airport said.

Magical Connections highlights DXB’s commitment to combining seasonal entertainment, interactive technology, and passenger engagement, making the airport itself part of the festive journey.
