With the aim of further enhancing the travellers’ experience, ‘My Pod Boutique Capsule‘ has been inaugurated at Ezeiza International Airport. This innovative and eco-friendly service space features unique design and comfort details.

The facilities include spacious and comfortable individual design rooms, available in two sizes (Maxi Pod and Mini Pod), individual shower services, self-service lockers for luggage storage, meeting rooms, and coworking spaces. All areas are accessible for people with reduced mobility.

This project is designed especially to meet the needs of passengers whose flights are delayed, who arrive or depart at inconvenient hours, or who have long layovers between connections. For this reason, the services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Furthermore, due to its strategic location within the airport, it can be accessed on foot from the departure terminals. Starting from the first few days of November, it will open its doors to the public, who can access the facilities by making a reservation through the website https://mypodcapsule.com. Each of the services is available for purchase by the hour
and must be selected individually, although there are also combinations offered that include two or more services.

Sebastián Villar Guarino, Manager at Ezeiza International Airport, emphasised: ‘At Aeropuertos Argentina 2000, there’s a team working every day to enhance the passenger experience. In 2023, we inaugurated the New Passenger Terminal in April, and we are exploring different alternatives to support the growth of air traffic. In this context, we are delighted to inaugurate My Pod and continue adding experiences and services for each of our passengers’.

My Pod Airport Boutique Capsule was built in collaboration with UNIMOD (GRUPO AZZO), specialists in offside construction with cutting-edge technology. UNIMOD manufactures modular buildings in three dimensions, fully comprehensively in their workshops. This system offers various advantages, such as reduced construction times
and flexibility in design and future modifications. Furthermore, it is an environmentally sustainable process due to lower water consumption during construction, increased energy efficiency (thermal insulation), reduced waste at the construction site, the use of recyclable materials, and a minimised environmental impact.

For this project, 12 transportable modular buildings were used, covering an area of 330 m2, while the main hall, which acts as a connector for each module, was constructed using the Steel Frame system directly on the existing terrain.
