Listen to this exclusive interview which took place at World Routes in Istanbul.
At the World Routes conference 2023, we caught up with John Ackerman, EVP Global Strategy and Development at Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport.
North Texas region is fastest growing region of fastest growing state in the U.S. and the second most diversified economy of all the major metropolitan areas in the U.S., DFW is also the largest carbon neutral airport in the world.
Together with Holly Miles, Editor of International Airport Review, John spoke about their project building a new Terminal F, while simultaneously taking down and rebuilding their Terminal C which is in use by 40% of passengers. John says that customers will see a radical transformation in terms of experience when they reopen.
John detailed how at DFW, they made the decision to split their air service team; one half focuses on acquiring new business, and the other half focuses on taking care of their airlines once they have signed on to support marketing efforts and help with any operational issues. John says this is unique and differentiates them from other U.S. airports.
