Changi Airport and SF Group have signed a strategic agreement to establish Singapore as the company’s first overseas cargo hub supporting regional logistics growth.

Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) has been selected as the first overseas cargo hub for SF Group following the signing of a strategic partnership agreement with Changi Airport Group.
The five year Memorandum of Understanding was signed on 30th April and is designed to strengthen Singapore’s role as a regional logistics and transshipment centre while supporting SF Group’s international expansion plans.

Under the agreement, the two organisations will work together to expand air cargo connectivity across Southeast Asia, South Asia and Oceania, using Changi Airport as a central hub for high value and time sensitive shipments.
The partnership is also intended to support growing trade flows within the Asia Pacific region and between Asia and international markets.
According to Changi Airport Group, the collaboration will help strengthen Singapore’s position as a value creating logistics hub while supporting evolving supply chain requirements.
Chief Executive Officer Yam Kum Weng said the partnership marked an important milestone for both organisations.
“We are delighted that SF Group has selected Changi Airport as its first overseas hub,” he said.
He added that the agreement would support the movement of high value and time critical cargo across the region and beyond.
SF Group Chairman Dick Wong described Singapore as a key location within the company’s global growth strategy.
“Through deeper cooperation with CAG, SF will further optimise its resources across the Southeast Asia, South Asia and Oceania regions,” he said.
SF Airlines, the aviation arm of SF Group, currently operates daily freighter services between Singapore and Shenzhen. The airline operates more than 90 freighter aircraft and is recognised as China’s largest cargo airline.
Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) is already home to several major international express operators, including DHL Express, FedEx Express and UPS, reinforcing its role as one of the region’s leading air cargo gateways.
The agreement reflects continuing growth in air freight demand across Asia Pacific and highlights increasing investment in resilient, globally connected logistics infrastructure.
