Overview
STR-SpeechTech (STR) is a leading Canadian supplier of text-to-speech systems for mission-critical aviation broadcasting applications. Our StarCaster® D-ATIS (Automatic Terminal Information Service), D-VOLMET (meteorological information for aircraft in flight) and RWAS (Remote Weather Advisory Service) systems are deployed internationally at Air Traffic Control (ATC) Towers, Flight Service Stations and Remote Non-Towered locations, where the ability to generate clear and consistent information broadcasts is key for operational efficiency and safety. Over the past 35 years, STR has deployed nearly 300 StarCaster systems in all regions of ICAO, including in North America at facilities managed by the FAA, US Military and NAV CANADA. Our growing international presence now consists of installations with ANSPs in over 30 countries, with recent projects completed in Ireland, Germany, Iceland and Hong Kong.
