Head of Aviation Security, Öryggismiðstöðin
Jónas joined Öryggismiðstöðin in 2013 becoming Head of Aviation Security in 2017 when the company began providing aviation security services as Aviör at Keflavik International Airport. During the past year, Jonas has overseen the implentation of passenger prescreening interviews, running training courses for security interviewers, security staff in secondary screening and worked closely with local industry stakeholders in developing an innovative technological solution to use along with passenger prescreening interviews.
Jónas has 22 years of experience working in law enforcement both in Iceland and in the European Union Police Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Jónas is a graduate of George Washington University and enjoys performing stand-up comedy and writing short stories in his spare time.
