Mental Health: An aviation security perspective

Mental Health: an aviation security perspective

Date: 4 December 2018
Time: 09:45

The threat to aviation is not exclusively terrorist-related. Marauding firearms incidents by psychologically disturbed individuals and, more specifically, the actions of suicidal pilots also demand our attention. With aviation security often preoccupied with the terrorist threat, and society facing a surge in mental health illnesses, what does the security community need to do to address the threat posed by those with psychological problems?
