AutoFlight Aviation Technology has revealed the world’s first integrated sea and air low altitude mobility solution. The concept combines a zero carbon water vertiport with eVTOL aircraft to expand advanced air mobility infrastructure across rivers, lakes and coastal regions. The system is designed to take low altitude aviation from theory to real world application and supports five priority sectors: energy platform maintenance, emergency response, commuter transport, sea and air tourism, and mobile water based vertiport networks.

AutoFlight’s Zero Carbon eVTOL Water Vertiport is a floating operations hub that includes landing platforms, photovoltaic charging, intelligent dispatch and communication systems. The structure can be deployed quickly across waterways without the need for land based construction, enabling take off, landing and charging in one location. The vertiport is compatible with AutoFlight’s aircraft family, including the industrial White Shark, the 2 ton CarryAll cargo model, and the six seat passenger eVTOL Prosperity, creating a flexible land, sea and air network.

The company said the combined sea and air approach increases efficiency across a range of missions. For marine energy platforms, it improves the speed and reliability of transporting workers and critical parts. In emergencies, wide area search capability can be paired with rapid eVTOL deployment to reduce response times. High frequency commuting between coastal cities and islands can be cut from hours to minutes, while tourism operators can add a premium flight option to existing experiences. Networks of water based vertiports can also support higher throughput and multi aircraft operations.

AutoFlight developed the solution with battery partner CATL. The vertiport and aircraft incorporate high performance electric systems to support low carbon operations and reduce the infrastructure burden on cities by using existing waterways.

The first public demonstration took place at Dianshan Lake in Kunshan, where a 2 ton eVTOL departed from the floating vertiport. A formation flight followed with live airdrop missions that showcased the system’s potential for low altitude logistics and emergency response.
