Informa Markets will host the third Super Terminal Expo in Hong Kong from 3 to 5 November, with Hong Kong International Airport as principal partner.
The global transportation and aviation sectors are going through a major shift. Digital transformation, automation, strict carbon mandates, and changing passenger habits mean modern transit terminals can no longer function as simple fixed buildings. Airports, rail networks, and logistics centres are being redesigned as flexible, digitally enabled spaces.
Informa Markets will open the doors to Super Terminal Expo (STE) 2026 from 3 to 5 November 2026 at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong. This third edition arrives at an important moment for the global aviation community, with a dedicated platform for passenger and cargo terminal planning, technology deployment, and multi-modal infrastructure design.
Trunk-Branch Connectivity and the HKIA Partnership

Super Terminal Expo is organised in collaboration with Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) as the principal partner. Known globally for its operational efficiency, HKIA is entering a new stage of physical development.
This year’s event serves as the platform for a new transfer service pilot programme engineered by HKIA. This initiative uses the airport’s global flight network to connect Mainland Chinese cities with international destinations. On Nov 3, senior Mainland government officials will attend the launch ceremony, highlighting regional cooperation under the national “Trunk-Branch Connectivity, Whole-Network Linkage” strategy to support Hong Kong’s role as a major aviation hub.
Vivian Cheung, Chief Executive Officer of Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK), said, “We are pleased to support this remarkable event again this year, after the successful first and second editions in 2024 and 2025, respectively. Located at the heart of Asia, HKIA’s extensive aviation network, the city’s business-friendly environment, and multicultural vibes make it a natural venue for discussions on the future of transportation hubs in Asia and beyond.”
“For HKIA, the timing of STE 2026 is particularly significant. With enhanced airport capacity, as well as the continued development of Airport City initiative SKYTOPIA, HKIA is entering a new phase of growth with unprecedented opportunities for innovation, connectivity and collaboration, powering Hong Kong to be The Hub of Asia,” added Mrs Cheung.
Industry expertise and investment partners
Super Terminal Expo welcomes back Hong Kong’s top engineering and infrastructure consultancies, including AECOM, Arup, Artelia Airports, Chinney Alliance, and AtkinsRéalis, alongside new key investment partners ANA, DBS Bank, OCBC Bank, Deutsche Bank, Kerry Group, and China Resources.
Together, they turn STE into more than an exhibition: visitors gain direct access to global best practices in airport planning and infrastructure, while exhibitors connect with the consultants and investors who advise on, fund, and shape major aviation projects. This blend of engineering expertise and capital is what helps innovative ideas move from concept to commercial reality, reinforcing Hong Kong’s position as a global aviation hub.
Exhibition floor: new spaces and global additions
On the exhibition floor, global brands will demonstrate artificial intelligence, robotics, biometric processing, and predictive data analytics aimed at improving operational safety and the passenger and cargo handling experience.
The 2026 edition introduces several new spaces and expanded company profiles:
- The Low Altitude Economy (LAE) Pavilion returns to the show floor, giving drone logistics companies, eVTOL manufacturers, and urban planners a dedicated space to present commercial infrastructure plans.
- The African Airport Showcase is new this year, highlighting infrastructure projects across Africa and bringing in a large group of international buyers and regional trade delegates from the continent.
- New exhibitors joining the show include Plaza Premium Group and Incheon International Airport Corporation. Returning Diamond Sponsors Nuctech and Guangtai come back with a much larger presence.
Conference highlights and key themes
The STE Conference delivers practical insight across the Keynote Stage, Satellite Stage, and Innovation Stage. Over three days, the agenda covers specialised forums, fireside chats and technical masterclasses.
Some highlight includes:
The Airport Leaders Forum and the CEO Panel

A key session on 3 November is the CEO Panel: From Promise to Practice, moderated by Adrian Schofield, Senior Air Transport Editor Asia-Pacific at Aviation Week. The panel brings together executives from major transit hubs including Pradeep Panicker (GMR Delhi International Airport Ltd.), John Ackermann (Los Angeles World Airports), Chris McLaughlin (Dallas Fort Worth International Airport), Julien Bert (Vinci Airports Cambodia), and Vivian Cheung (Airport Authority Hong Kong).
Whether the topic is a specific AI deployment or a broader digital transformation effort, airport CEOs face shared challenges: managing complex stakeholder ecosystems, driving cultural change, building the right infrastructure, and proving business value. The conversation looks at how leaders of major airport hubs are navigating these realities, moving from promise to practice in their digital transformation and AI journeys.
Advanced Air Mobility and the Low Altitude Economy (LAE) Forum

Co-organised with Aviation Week and Hong Kong International Aviation Academy, the LAE Forum looks at how the low-altitude economy is developing across the Greater Bay Area, Mainland China, and beyond, with government and industry leaders including Joan Hung (Deputy Secretary for Transport and Logistics, HKSAR) and Dr Elizabeth Quat (Greater Bay Area Low Altitude Economy Alliance) setting out the regulatory and commercial landscape.
A standout session is the CEO Panel: East Meets West: Accelerating LAE in Asia, where leaders from SkyDrive, the Japan Air Mobility Research Institute, and Ascendo Group compare how Eastern and Western markets are approaching eVTOL certification and deployment. With Hong Kong now backing more than 38 eVTOL sandbox projects, the discussion points to the Greater Bay Area as a fast-moving testbed offering practical lessons for operators working on cross-border routes and certification elsewhere.
AI and Technology Forum - Sponsored by Arup
The forum spotlights how AI is reshaping airports worldwide, from Huawei’s vision of AI-accelerated airport intelligence to Beijing Airport’s use of predictive analytics for smoother ground operations. A standout fireside chat on designing the smart airport brings together Arup and Huawei leaders to unpack how human-AI collaboration is boosting operational resilience, while other sessions explore AI-driven cargo management and the blending of physical and virtual worlds to solve real-world aviation challenges.
Beyond the mainstage, a Spotlight: Greece session broadens the conversation with a European perspective, rounding out a day focused on practical, measurable AI impact across terminal operations and the road ahead for global aviation.
Airport Dialogues roundtables
Following strong feedback on last year’s roundtable format, the Airport Dialogues, a series of closed-door roundtables return on 4 November 2026 with intimate 90-minute sessions capped at 15 participants to keep discussions focused and interactive. Building on that momentum, two new focus areas have been added this year:
- Scaling Airport Capacity, moderated by Jana Baschin (Fraport AG), on autonomous fleets and robotics for capacity expansion.
- Breaking the Data Silos, moderated by Thomas Romig (Masterise Group), on real-time predictive AI sharing for aircraft turnarounds.
Networking: The Disneyland Gala, Unified STE Awards & Happy Hour
Beyond the conference rooms, Informa Markets provides dedicated spaces for face-to-face business networking. This year, the organisers are offering distinct events to help build relationships.
- An exclusive Disneyland Gala Dinner: This evening gives international delegates, airport directors, and investors a casual setting to meet outside the exhibition hall, help build trust, and form lasting cross-border business ties.
- Industry achievements will also be recognized at a unified, expanded STE & Aviation Week AAM 2026 Awards ceremony. By bringing together top accolades across six major areas, including sustainable architecture, green airport design, cargo hub innovation, and advanced air mobility, the unified event honours the teams moving transit infrastructure forward.
