Karen Dee, the Chief Executive of AirportsUK, has responded to the Scottish government’s statement on aviation.

Chief Executive of AirportsUK, the trade body for UK airports, Karen Dee, has responded to the Scottish government’s aviation statement:
“We are pleased the Scottish government has recognised the strategic importance of aviation to the economy, and it is now important that this statement leads to a robust framework that supports sustainable airport growth.
“Robust, thriving airports are a key driver in creating growth through new connectivity, the opening of new markets, connecting rural communities, and increasing competition that benefits consumers.
“AirportsUK will now work with Scottish ministers and officials to develop deliverable policies and actions to ensure Scotland continues to benefit, both internationally and domestically, from aviation and the opportunities that it provides.”
