Mumbai’s Terminal 2 becomes the first airport facility in India to offer app-based quick commerce, allowing passengers to order travel essentials, electronics and refreshments for delivery within the terminal while maintaining security protocols and operational efficiency.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) has launched India’s first in terminal quick commerce service in partnership with Blinkit, bringing app based delivery directly into the passenger journey.
The service is now live in Terminal 2 domestic departures, allowing travellers to order a range of products through the Blinkit app and have them delivered within the terminal. Orders can be fulfilled at boarding gates, lounges, food courts and selected retail outlets.
Delivered by trained on ground personnel, the service has been designed to integrate with airport operations while maintaining security and efficiency standards.
An Adani Airport Holdings Limited spokesperson said the initiative reflects a broader focus on digital innovation.
“Bringing app based convenience into the terminal allows passengers to make better use of their time and enhances the overall travel experience,” the spokesperson said.
The offering includes travel accessories, electronics, snacks, books, baby care products and personal essentials. Permissible liquids such as water and beverages are sourced from approved in terminal inventory in line with security regulations.
For Blinkit, the airport deployment represents an expansion into a high demand environment, supporting greater adoption of digital retail services. For AAHL, the initiative contributes to non aeronautical revenue growth by introducing new digital retail channels.
The service also improves accessibility by providing passengers with greater choice without time constraints, addressing common challenges during the departure process.
With high passenger volumes at Terminal 2, the rollout is expected to enhance convenience and set a precedent for future digital service integration across airports.
