
John Nilsson
John Nilsson has over 15 years of experience with transport planning and traffic forecasting, working at first for the Swedish Transport Administration with complex transport development plans and traffic forecasting and since 2018 at Swedavia, as a project leader for the development of the new masterplan for Gothenburg Airport with a planning horizon beyond 2050.
Since 2012, he is responsible for understanding the role of battery-electric and hydrogen aircraft on Swedavia’s airports and to formulate recommendations and strategies for Swedavia airports future land usage, energy usage and operational planning according to the market’s evolution and needs.
Outside of his role at Swedavia John is a photography enthusiast and publishes photos on different channels of his hometown and of his many trips around the world, mostly from distant and forgotten rural landscapes.
