Carol-Ann Gaddis

Carol-Ann Gaddis serves as the Director of Information Technology and Innovation at Richmond International Airport (RIC), where she leads the airport’s five-year technology modernisation strategy, network infrastructure, and operational technology integration across landside, airside, and public safety operations. Appointed in December 2022, she specialises in bridging complex IT governance with cross-functional execution, managing enterprise deployments such as Centralised Asset Management platforms, campus-wide fibre infrastructure upgrades, and Common Use Passenger Processing Systems (CUPPS) gate conversions. Her strategic approach focuses on building resilient, cyber-secure airport operations while aligning technology investments with broader organisational goals.

Gaddis brings a rich background of more than 11 years in passenger-centric innovation, having previously served as Customer Experience Manager at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). Drawing on her deep root in customer experience and inclusive facility design, she prioritises universal accessibility, intuitive wayfinding, and seamless passenger processing in every technology initiative she executes.

Gaddis holds a Master of Education in Instructional Technology from the University of West Georgia and a Bachelor of Arts from Georgia State University, complemented by certifications as a Certified Emergency Manager, Certified Member with AAAE, and ICMA Certified professional. A past president of the Southeast Chapter of AAAE and a founding advisory member of the Richmond Airport Foundation Board, she remains dedicated to advancing equitable, forward-looking infrastructure across the aviation industry.
