Airside OperationsAirside operations cover a vast range of procedures, including but not limited to the management of aircraft movements, foreign object debris (FOD) detection, wildlife management, the handling of weather implications, evaluating law enforcement, ARFF, air traffic control, and incident responses.

Many of these directly impact the safety of passengers and staff and therefore are incredibly important for the day-to-day routine at an airport. They also involve a portfolio of individuals within an airport’s workforce and so International Airport Review aims to gather industry news on airside operations, but also to speak to leading industry figures regarding what they see as the biggest challenges within airside operations, the potential solutions, and what they see the future holding for the airside area of an airport.
