Chopin Airport handled 609,000 passengers in January 2012, a 5% increase year-on-year.
International flights continue to account for the vast majority of all traffic, with 528,000 travellers served, 4.3% more than a year ago. The airport also recorded its busiest January on record in terms of domestic traffic as passenger numbers reached 80,600 (up 9.8%).
The number of aircraft movements grew by 0.8%, standing at 9,200.
