The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) announces the appointments and confirmations of two new members to its board of commissioners. Saul Solomon, who was appointed by Mayor Karl Dean and confirmed by the Metropolitan Council of Nashville and Davidson County on Aug. 17, will serve as one of the Board’s industry, commerce and finance representatives. Deborah Wright, who was appointed and confirmed on Sept. 7, will serve as one of the Board’s neighborhood representatives.

“We are pleased to welcome Saul Solomon and Deborah Wright. Saul’s experience and business and legal acumen and Deborah’s neighborhood involvement and business experience serve as great additions to a Board of truly distinguished commissioners,” stated Raul Regalado, president and CEO of the MNAA. “Our Board of Commissioners provides the policy guidance and leadership necessary for the Authority to provide the Nashville Airports Experience to all of our passengers, partners and employees.”

Solomon serves as president of Bridgestone Americas U.S. and Canada Commercial Tire Sales division. Having previously led a transition team during Bridgestone Americas’ 2007 merger with Bandag, Incorporated, he is now responsible for all truck retread, agriculture, mining and construction tire operations for the company. Solomon joined Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc. in 1993 as a senior counsel, later serving as General Counsel for Bridgestone Americas.

Solomon serves on several boards: Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, the Bridgestone Americas Teammate Assistance Fund and the Lost Boys Foundation of Nashville. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a law degree from the University of North Carolina. Solomon is a member of the American Bar Association and the Nashville Bar Association.

Deborah Wright

Deborah Wright

Wright is a small business owner of Amenacorp,Inc. and offers business services in the areas of contracts, quality and accounting. She has more than 27 years of combined experience in contract management, customer service, quality management, logistics management and human resources.

Wright is serving her third year as a board member/treasurer of her subdivision’s homeowner’s association. She also serves as director of REAP, a nonprofit tutorial program in Davidson County. Wright holds a bachelor’s degree from Pace University in New York City.

MNAA Board of Commissioners

A 10-member board of Commissioners appointed by the mayor of Nashville Davidson County, and confirmed by the Metro council, governs the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority. The board is comprised of three industry, business and finance representatives, two pilot representatives, two neighborhood representatives, one engineering representative, one legal representative and the mayor.
