World’s first Hooters restaurant at an airport opens at Frankfurt

Hooters American Restaurant and Sportsbar has opened its first airport location at Frankfurt Airport. Entrepreneurs, Manfred Metzger and Bastian Klink, both from Karlsruhe, Germany, are the owners and managers of the new franchise operation of the famous American Hooters restaurant chain. Metzger and Klink said “Hooters Frankfurt Airport will cater to passengers, the general public as well as the more than 70,000 staff working at Frankfurt Airport. We offer good food, fun and service, service, service. Our motto is Hooters makes you happy.”

Guests can now enjoy this international, multicultural gastronomy outlet at the Airport City Mall Frankfurt, located in Terminal 1 on Level 0 (Area C) above the Regional Train Station. The atmosphere is typically American-style, from the greeting to the friendly, quick service. Hooters Frankfurt Airport features American finger foods like chicken wings, pizza and burgers. Completing the menu is a large variety of beverages including soft drinks, beer, wine and traditional Frankfurt Apfelwein (apple wine).
A shop at the entrance to the restaurant offers branded souvenirs and popular Hooters T-shirts. A special smoking area is integrated in the restaurant. Hooters Frankfurt Airport seats 190 people and features a Biergarten for up to 70 guests. Positioned around the sports bar, 10 flat-screen monitors present international sporting events.
Chief executive officer of Hooters, USA, Coby Brooks, stated: “This is an exciting expansion of the Hooters brand to the Frankfurt global air transportation hub located in the heart of Europe. As the first airport Hooters in the world, we consider this restaurant/bar to be a case study project for the future. Frankfurt Airport is recognized as a dynamic and innovative airport city and we are proud to be established here.”
Fraport AG executive board member Herbert Mai said: “Hooters an attractive addition to the culinary and entertainment landscape of the growing Frankfurt Airport City. Fraport is embarking on a major expansion of retail space and offerings to meet the needs of diverse customer groups and the growing traffic. With Hooters, we now have some 250 retail stores, restaurants and service outlets at Frankfurt Airport”
Effective August 11, Hooters Frankfurt Airport will be open from 11:00 to 24:00 daily
