Concessionaire Analyzer+ (CA+) has been chosen by Manchester Airports Group (MAG) to implement a proof of concept software solution that will allow MAG to assess its requirements in respect of the analysis of concessionaire business information.

The proof of concept (POC) will be used to evaluate how CA+ will enable MAG to improve the management of the non-aeronautical processes and help to improve insight, enabling it to further boost the performance of the concessionaires within their airports.

For the POC, CA+ will be installed as a cloud based hosted and managed solution, managing a limited number of concessions, automating the collection of detailed sales data from these concessionaires, the management of contracts including revenue shares, minimum guarantees and services and providing a Business Intelligence (BI) platform for the MAG commercial team to be able to analyse performance.

This will provide an overall improvement in the sales data collection process so as to enable more efficient automation of contract management and analysis, replacing much of the spreadsheet and manual input of data that today dominates most airport commercial teams.

Through a range of role based business intelligence dashboards and reports, the CA+ BI Module will allow MAG to obtain better insights on sales patterns and to work with concessionaires to further enhance their performance.

MAG is a leading UK airport operator. Their four airports – Manchester, Stansted, Bournemouth and East-Midlands– serve around 52 million passengers every year. The group contributes £4bn to the UK economy and supports over 130,000 jobs.

John de Giorgio, the CEO of CA Plus Limited, commented that “the CA+ team are looking forward to be working with MAG which has such a formidable reputation in the industry.  This initiative by MAG reinforces the importance that airports all over are giving to the non-aeronautical sector to provide significant revenue for the group.”

Richard Hill, Head of Retail at MAG said, “By working with CA+ we hope to automate some of the processes behind our retail operation in order to improve the retail offering across our four airports to both retail partners and passengers. MAG is continually looking at ways to generate efficiencies in what we do and CA+ has a strong record in working with businesses to do just that.”

CA Plus Ltd will next be showcasing their solution at the British-Irish Airports Expo in Birmingham from the 8th till 9th June 2016. Airports are welcome to discuss improving their non-aeronautical revenues, or get in touch prior to the event for an online demo by emailing [email protected].
