Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM), on the Caribbean Island of St Maarten, is deploying the Concessionaire Analyzer+ (CA+) software solution, that will enable them to better manage, maximise and boost non-aeronautical revenues as they aim to continue to increase the contribution of non-aeronautical revenues.

Using CA+, SXM airport will be able to better understand sales patterns with the aim of maximising performance

The CA+ solution automates the collection of sales data from concessions, enables analysis of sales patterns and the delivery of business intelligence through its BI platform and revenue/billing of concessions. Using CA+, SXM airport will be able to better understand sales patterns with the aim of maximising performance both for the concessions themselves and for the airport while improving control and auditing of this crucial business process.

The combination of sales data with passenger numbers extracted from the airport’s data systems will also allow SXM to compare revenue per passenger by product category, concession, date, terminal, zone and a wide range of other useful metrics. This insight will allow SXM to adjust their retail mix to reflect demand and to improve negotiations with concessions and airlines.

SXM will also be utilising the contract management, revenue calculation and billing automation functions of CA+ – tasks that are time-consuming and subject to error when performed manually. By inputting the contract features into the system, including revenue shares and any additional charges, billing becomes automated based on the sales data collected by the system.

And whilst some concessionaires are retaining their current point-of-sale and back-office systems utilising an interface that integrates automatically with CA+, other concessionaires will be implementing CA+’s own Airport.POS as a standard point-of-sale solution. Airport.POS allows real-time transaction level integration with boarding pass scanning for deeper data collection and analysis to the benefit of both airport and concessionaire.

“Through the implementation of CA+, our commercial team will be able to closely monitor sales patterns, identify category performance, benchmark concessions and more quickly identify trends in order to ultimately improve our non-aeronautical revenues as a percentage of total revenues.” said Regina LaBega, Managing Director at SXM. “We will also be able to better control our operations.”

“We are very proud to be working with SXM, a leader in its region with an average of 1.6 million passengers passing though it yearly and a capacity to handle 2.5 passengers annually” said John de Giorgio, CEO of Concessionaire Analyzer+. “CA+ is gaining ground in airports of all scales and across all geographies with some smaller airports implementing the solution as well as some of the largest airports in the world.”

About Concessionaire Analyzer+
